I would go with the balance bat to start. Reason being is that some players do not have the hand strength to accelerate an endloaded bat of the same weight. Thus the balance bat would appear easier to swing. But some line drive hitters prefer endloaded bats (ex. Rod Carew used the C243 model, and so did Paul Oneil.)
