Williams-Last man standing thus far

Hello and Happy New Year to all: Yes, BHL there are more thorough books on hitting equipped with more examples and descriptions on the swing, here I totally agree with you. I on the other hand must take a stand for Theodore Samual Williams, the last man to hit over 400. If he had not been a fighter pilot in WWII who knows what other hitting records he would have garnished. Let's face it, this man's performance on the field is plenty credibility to give respect to a nice short book on hitting. I would always try to listen to the guys who put up the numbers year in and year out to improve my hitting when I played.
If I am standing around the cages at the park and I have a science professor who studied hitting who never strapped on a jock giving me advice or if Williams shares some tips, who do you think I am going to listen to? There is something to be said for the guy who has been there and done it.
There is something to be respected for a player who is still the last man standing..with a comment. dog
