hello JOE>I totally agree that extension is the enemy of the rotational hitter .I notice IF my timing is off and I am out in front of a pitch. esp a curve ball. that I will start the swing rotational. but in mid swing I realize the ball is not in the hitting zone yet. and if I keep rotating, I might not make contact with the ball. so instead I just push and extend my hands forward into the ball.which causes my shoulders to stop rotating into contact. resulting in weak hit balls.so rotational hitters need good timing as well as a good swing.but if a hitter is aware of this and even if he is fooled he can force himself to keep rotating his shoulders into contact .he just might be lucky to bloop one in / this takes a lot of practice with a plan to keep rotating the shoulders even when fooled. that is why I say 100 swings a day,and that good hitters hit the ball harder more often but they also get more cheap hits too
