Bat Speed -- Baseball Hitting Forum

What do others think of this drill to develop the proper mechanics and CHP.
Using the H bag.
RH batting normal stance and grip.
Place the bat barrel tightly against the upper right arm.
Turn inward while keeping the bat against the arm.
Now rotate quickly the trunk and shoulders toward the bag, attempting to keep the bat "glued" to the arm as long as possible before striking the bag.
This doesn't teach THT.
Would this drill be correct for teaching youngsters (9-12) the correct mechanics/feel?
