Hi Jack,

I think the best hitters swing with every damn thing they have, use every muscle they can and would use any other muscle if they could find one not being used. They are not holding back anything when the trigger fires. I do NOT think that people should interpret (as many do) these angles in elbows, shoulders, and etc., as not appearing to change as the hitters not using those muscles that would cause a change in the angles. Force equals Mass x Acceleration, NOT Mass x velocity (change in angles). Everything is firing hard in unison giving the appearance of no angle changes. It's an explosion.

I also think that an extremely important factor in the best major league swings (not explicitly covered here or anywhere else that I have seen) is that the head of the bat is always below the knob at contact. This allows for more pushing (anchoring) against the ground and ball lift.

Your teachings are paramount to hitters optimizing their success when *all* of these muscles fire.
