Hi all,

I agree with Missori Dad. I wouldn't discard the drill altogether. It can be a good instructive tool, but only under close supervision of a coach who is watching to make sure the hitter isn't stepping in the bucket, flying off the ball too soon or pulling his bat in a straight line with a late, contrived wrist snap just to avoid hitting the fence.
