Nice topic.
Get the kids accoustomed to something that will flaw their mechanics.
Larger barrel equals more surface contact, even my grand ma-ma could manage damage. Std. bat requires mechanics and precision. Why not get the kids accoustomed to this earlier? In youth leagues, an error is as good as a hit. Fields are smaller, defense is as good as the kid who is least afraid of the ball...instant offense. But is this what we want?
