Great point here regarding Brett's long stride. Definately Linear. However, in his stride the lead hip is rotating slightly open, as his lead heal touches down, that linear movement is transferred into the lead hip. His utilization of linear motion directly into the rotational motion is f** brilliant. If he took his stride forward with the lead hip closed, the expedeture of the linear movement forward would have been wasteful, ubless it was used as a timing mechanism.
