Not really.

This super slow motion clip...

...shows Thomas hitting with pretty much rotational mechanics.

His back upper arm isn't as vertical as some (AKA more disconnected), which means that his hands are closer to the pitcher, but that could be due to the pitch (which looks like a hung curve or high change-up).
