> Jack. I thought that was an excellent clip of how the hitter is leading with the knob of the bat. That forces him to take a more direct route to the ball. As such his bat head does not dip significantly under the plane of the incoming pitch. This has the effect of having the hitter stay in line with the pitch better, which in turn leads to better contact. This is the opposite of a hitter who has to loop the bat up in order to hit the same pitch.

You can't swing up like that!LOL You are going to ruin hitters. lol
Seriously the pitch seems a little loopy, but he did get some lift on that one. I'm more of a fastpitch guy so swings at a pitch from that level (waist or slightly above) are level. So the swing doesn't have that much lift, the pitch would need to be much lower to see something like that.
Hitting Guru, I don't know it's been awhile since I've looked at 30 fps video. I do know I love the first frame, hips started and bat still back and cocked. I love that part. He isn't loopy with the swing.
I have a question for you. The programs I have can capture video at 60 fps, deinterlace the video. Most people love this because you have more frames. Will your program do this? And did I understand you right you are going to have ML models with your program?
