hi Jimmy,

It was late last night so I didn't get to finish my thoughts on your linear hitting que. To me this is a useless que as are most of linear ques. Where else would I want the barrel. Over my head, under my feet, behind my back,in the dugout. When coaches say these things to kids they never question them but times are changing and kids are smart. They look at the pros swinging and don't see them doing any of the things their coaches are teaching them. We use to have to learn by emulation now the kids are lucky because they can learn the proper mechanics and save years of time. I thinks you guys take the concept of linear alittle to far. When most people speak of linear vs. rotational they are talking about linear weight shift from back to front (to be brief)and rotational as around an axis. You guys got fingers, arms, heads, shoulder, feet, knees etc moving in a straight line and you say see that is a linear component. People do have to move so if you want me to conceit I am sure at some point during a rotational swing some body part might move in a straight line (linear) but it has no importance in performing a rotational swing.

Thanks

Steve
