Probably only one cause for this.

ARM DOMINANT SWING.

If stride to "plant" then finish by rotating around a mainly fixed axis the arms follow this path. Back arm slots and the bat "hooks" around the axis. The level swing will be a slight upper cut since the ball is in a downward trajectory.

In order to have a severe uppercut you are likely seeing a very long sweeping arm swing...very common in youth.

> Swinging under the ball is an epidemic in our town's Little League majors, including it being done by my son. All of his teammates do it as well. I very rarely see any of the kids missing above the ball, no matter if the pitch is high or low. Anyone know what the top three causes and solutions are for this problem?
