what is the best angle for the bat to be in during the launch position.

Just adding two cents. There really isn't a "best" per say, but there is a good rule of thumb that makes rotational mechanics easiest to apply. That is having the bathead at a one clock position when the hands have reached their initial load position. Then, when you apply THT, the hands are not forced down or the back shoulder does not over compensate for the torque that is being applied. Just a little suggestion that I teach and was taught myself. Works very well when excuted properly.
