Most people hit more flyballs to the opposite field. As a result you may have to move a little closer to the plate. This will force you to get the bat head out in front, otherwise you will get jammed. The key is to maintain balance and still stride toward the pitcher. Also you should focus on looking for the pitch middle to the inside of the plate. This will take some practice, but eventually you will have some success. Just look for the ball in and react to it rather than trying to speed everything up. Getting a slight bit deeper in the box may also help.
