What is perfect depends a lot on the individual. But for the sake of discussion, try to digest how it feels when you hit a homerun in a game or batting practice over the centerfield fence.

I believe that is a good reference point because a beginning approach to hitting has been to hit the ball right back through the pitcher. And for the most part, a hard shot through the middle is a well struck hit.

But from my observation, when one gets full extension and hits the ball on the sweetspot for a homerun, that in itself approaches the concept of perfection.
