isometrics for bat speed. I can't go into it all now but hopefully this post goes through (not sure if hyperlinking is against conduct).

Check that out and read read read. It got me to buy it. It's only $30 and I am willing to give it a shot. It's on the way to my house now in the mail. Think about Bruce Lee and how he was HUGE into isometrics. Well he also had a 1 inch punch that was ridiculous. It's all about recruiting fast twitch muscle fibers and more motor units for muscle speed and not muscle strength. Muscle strength is good especially for injury prevention but if you want increase in batspeed or any performance in sports isometric training is the way to go.
