Hey I was thinking it may have something to do with your feet and hips. You might be swinging and nothing else is coming with so your arm just tends to go by itself. Make sure you are rotating your hips and squishing the bug as I learned it with your back foot. Then follow through after the pitch by having your bat end up on the other side of your head. Maybe this won't help you at all just thought I'd throw in my two cents.
