Using Jack's tape My son has become a pretty good Power hitter despite the small size and weight he has for his age.
He devours inside pitches so well that I now have him "Crowding the plate" this gives him the abilty to "cover the plate" with a full rotational swing even on pitches "outside"
If they are too far outside where he would have to go linear then I tell him to let 'em go. A good umpire calls those "Balls"
Maybe I'm Wrong.
