something that i always told my players that seemed to help was[every pitch is a strike until its a ball not every pitch is a ball until its a strike] it seemed to change their mind set from defensive swinging to offensive. another thing was [go up trying to hit not trying not to miss] it seems this was on a level young ones can understand i hope maybe this will help
