I've read about this on WEBBALL before, and it sounds interesting. It seems like a great way to mechanically "force" a batter to keep his hands back as long as possible in the swing.

Hey Major Dan
I was wondering why you think that you can't use scapula loading from the torque position. I have experimented with this position and it was a little hard to control the bat head, it just seemed to whip(that is rotational whip of course) through the zone, It was also difficult to hit high pitches with this technique, I'm sure if I practiced it more I could of got more consistent.
