Re: pitching machines

I own the personal pitcher pro model and it does have it's purpose. It obviously isn't as good as seeing live pitching, to me it isn't as good as say a jugs machine that throws real baseballs. You can't argue that hitting a small wiffle ball will help concentration. The problem is that the light that tells you the pitch is coming isn't bright enough. Out in the sun it can be hard to see. They may have fixed this as mine is about three years old. Mine is used for my 12 year old brother and the biggest problem is I have to keep reminding him to take full swings as if he is hitting a real baseball. The wiffleball gives no feedback when hit wrong and if you aren't careful can ruin a swing you have worked hard to develop. Thats just my assesment of my situation. It is helpful but make sure when you are home and working with them they still swing hard.
