Is there any torque-related reason NOT to hold the knob of the bat in the palm of the bottom hand (to "lengthen" the bat and increase leverage)?

I don't have any scientific evidence of such, but I prefer to hang my bottom pinky slightly off the knob. It does seem to give me a slight bit more bat speed, though.
