understanding the adjustments

I have seen many good swingers over the years that were just not good hitters, and in the CWS,I have seen the same as will as some not so many good swings that were not hit quite optimal that carried to warning track. This could have alot to do with the bats they swing and the way the ball carries there but I think so many outs come from not centering the ball and so many balls are not centered from the lack of ability or understanding on how to adjust from pitch to pitch. In the away pitch the lead arm stays straight and the rear elbow slots a little away from the body in order to reach the outside pitch while the elbows create more bend or flex on the inside pitch as the hands are drawn in to the body. The up and down adjustment for the most part is set by the tilt of the upper body so that the bat can swing 90 degrees to the spine.
I think that if we can find a way to get batters to learn how to make the adjustments more efficiently through awareness and training it will help them to better understand what and why they have certain strength and weaknesses. There has always been different ideas on to think in or out and adjust up or down vs think up or down and adjust out to in.If a batter can have a solid fundamental understanding of this process I think he then have a better chance of truly learning his strengths and weaknesses and come up with the proper approach for him at the plate, thus taking the 1st big step from being a batter to being a hitter.
