Actually I'm a lefty, so I'll translate that into "don't be stubborn, and hit the ball to left field".

Do you mean- "don't think PULL, PULL, PULL; think opposite field instead"? Or do you just mean, "don't focus on pulling the ball"?

Interesting. Because my worst at-bats (had one last night as a matter of a fact) are usually the ones where I'm thinking "I'm going to turn on this pitch and jack this MF over the right-field fence! (remember I'm lefty). That's when I get over anxious and pop out to first or hit a weak grounder to second.
