Many a debate in different sports but question is: Which way will a righ- or left-handed batter face?

Does that then mean ...as he faces the plate looking at the pitcher, will his right or left shoulder be forward? Obviousely easy to determine if the kids throws right or left but the dilemma is batting. As an aside, I didn't refer to a "batter" in different sports but merely being left or right handed in other sports - i.e. hockey.

Bill-
righties usually bat righty, lefties usually lefty but not always.
A right handed batter will have his left shoulder toward the pitcher, a lefty his right shoulder toward the pitcher.
I'd discourage any full blooded lefties from batting right handed. But if a righty feels comfortable batting lefthanded, it is a real advantage down the road.
Sorry to make light of your original post, but I couldn't makse sense of it until you clarified.
And yes we are a caustic, raucus crew. No offense meant. Though I am already getting e-tomatoes thrown at me.
