Are there any good drills that can be used to help increase bat speed? My question is related to softball but does it really matter?

After many, many years playing in the majors, suddently they bloon up into muscle men, look like NFL linemen and start hitting homeruns in numbers never seen before. Do you think that they changed their swing? No, they added muscles. I wonder why? Come on guys, use your powers of observation and some common sense.

If anyone wants bat speed, they need the proper training device. Linear devices won't work because the swing is curvilinear, multiplanar, and the strength gains won't transfer. Should anyone want bat speed email me.
