What I am experiencing in the girls understand and react to the training of proper mechanics while hitting off of a pitching machine, soft toss or coach pitch. When they take what they've learned to the plate in a game, all bets are off, they resort back to the poor mechanics they had. The interesting part is they state they know they did it wrong afterwards.

Repetition. It takes roughly 500 swings to do things conciously if starting from scratch. It takes nearly 2,500 swings to change mechanics or swings.
