>.I teach the hips by them selves first.Put a bat behind your lower backand wrap your arms behind the bat to pin the bat against you.Now focus on striding awith a slight inward turn to keep your weight over the inside of your rear thigh.Land with your weight on the inside ball of your foot and big toe with a bent knee and heel up.Work on this until you feel comfortable in keeping a straight axis or slightly back. Now bring your heel down and push back with the lead leg while you drive your rear knee forward. This should bring your rear heel straight up and put you on your toe. When you are complete your belt buckle should point at pitcher ,front leg straight out in front of your hips and the rear knee should be in a 90 degree angle backwards.spine straight up.You well learn you have to hit the ball further back by doing this, cue is let the ball come to me.
