Hi Leonel:

72-78 is good bat speed for your age. Good college power hitters reach speeds in the high 80s and low 90s. I would guess that the good pros are not much higher, if any.

Mainly, you want to use the radar as a training aid to see how you are progressing with your mechanics. It's also a good idea to test your speed by hitting a heavy punching bag, so that you will know your speed at contact. This will give you a consistent point of reference and tell if you are building power at the right time, at contact.
