Re: Instructor needed

Posted by: Dilbert () on Fri Sep 27 05:20:58 2002

I'm in the Portland area.I need some help.I heard Charley Lau Jr taught Alex Rodriguez and obviously Arod got his money's worth. But thats my problem I can't afford $500 an hour or whatever he charges and besides that I dont think he is anywhere close to Portland.Does someone know of a hitting instructor within a 300 mile radius of Portland and who follows Lau's principals? Thank you I looke forward to your help.

Hal-
Charlie Lau Jr claims a lot of things. Doesn't mean they're all true. He spends a lot of time talking about himself and all the great hitters he's taught. Sometimes the empty wagon makes the most noise.
Find a local dedicated guy with a lot less ego and a reasonable pricetag. There's more than enough information on the web to figure it all out. The rest is hard work. There's no magic bullet, no magic instructor. Charles probably doesn't even know how to teach top hand torque correctly.
