torque questions

Hello! Fantastic forum here and the videos are outstanding. I'm new to baseball instruction. I have a few questions regarding "torque".

Torque of course is a physics term. But also since we are using the term from an instructional context as well there are certainly ideas that are inferred from the term as well. When I think of "torquing" something I think of gritting my teeth and applying a significant amount of force muscularly. Is that a bad/good thing?

Also when discussing "pre-launch" torque and THT . . . how are these torques applied? Are the applied in bursts/sequentially? Or is it more of a constant torque applied through the motion?

I'm just attempting to try to figure out how to apply your fantastic concepts and mechanics. There is certainly a hitting "procedure" for lack of a better word and then there is a DESCRIPTION of the procedure itself. Are these torques something we "try" to do? How do we effectively "train" these motions/torques into or swing?

Again . . . I'm so grateful for your information! Fantastic stuff!
