Jerry, It will be good to get Jacks input on this. I believe you will get good results with the perfect connector at about 75% effort concentrating on full shoulder rotation before bat comes to contact with the heavy bag. This makes the lead arm stay connected stopping the push of the arms/hands. This should stop early release of the arm - it is just like chopping the tree down. All energy is expended before the bat contacts the ball or in this case - the bag. Best Wishes.
