hi jcaz>I dont know if you are already aware of this already ? when you order the hitting tape the final arc a booklet came with it.on page4 in the booklet , there is a drill very similar to the one you are descibing. In the drill they suggest to swing into a heavy bag .part of the discription of the drill is. rotate and lower the lead heel back toward catcher rotate lead knee toward pitcher extend the lead leg to rotate body and bat to contact.
