Sometimes when they adjust their grip into a stronger slot, they gain more control of the barrel. This aids in bat-speed, and barrel accuracy to the ball during the "lag" portion of the swing.

Check this out it's a new product that helps with this problem...
Many Professional Hitters are using this today.
