sean how about you and a couple of your friends try something for me,set up a tee on outside and middle in pitch and see how far you can hit it,mark and measure your best shots in the air where they touch and to what field, tell me how far the ball carried for you.A drill some use to feel mechanicsis for a righty to prepare to throw a ball up and hit it but 1st take an inside crossover step for a righty with their rear right foot flip ball up step and swing and really drive the ball.Often what throws off the whole process is imbalance at toe touch and weight comes forward to far, disrupting the ability to rotate properly.
