back foot on the ground vs. back foot off the ground

Hey folks,

As we all see great hitter like Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Ken Griffey Jr, Chipper Jones, Barry Bonds, and others do have something in common: their back foot is off the ground at the P O C. But other great hitters from other side of the world has their back foot on the ground at the P O C. Is there huge difference between the two?

Here are some clips on great hitters from other side of the world:

Takahashi Yoshinobu (OF for Yomiuri Giants)

(hits 2 consecutive HRs in 2 consecutive at bats) (in slow-mo)

(his career upto 2008. He still plays for Giants)

Lee Seung-Yeop (1st baseman)

(Lee Seung-Yeop's highlights when he played for Giants. He played for Chiba Lotte Marines (1st Japanese team) and Samsung Lions in Korea. He now plays for Orix Buffaloes.)

(Lee Seung-Yeop's 2005 season HRs)

(Lee Seung-Yeop's 2006 World Baseball Classic HRs)

Here are some RHHs:
Yamasaki Takeshi (1st & 3rd baseman)

(Yamasaki's HRs when he played for Rakuten Golden Eagles)

Kiyohara Kazuhiro (1st & 3rd baseman)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1EhUKTCRco
(Kiyohara Kazuhiro's highlights. He retired after 2008 season.)

Alex Ramirez (LF)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYEa0NHsrQA
(Played for Yakult Swallows and then Yomiuri Giants. His back foot comes off the ground later in his career but after that time frame.)

So, Is there huge difference between back foot is off the ground vs. on the ground? is there right or wrong?
