Knob to the ball is not a bad que but people explain it wrong. People state that the knob starts at the ball but continues to the ball which would be hands to the ball and a linear que. What really happens is when shoulder rotation starts and you are trying to get the bat on the plane then you start the knob at the ball more so to get the plane of the bat at the level of the ball so if it is a high pitch you would start the knob at the level of the ball and so forth if it is a low ball but after you start the knob at the ball then what really happens is the knob is rotated around the body in a tight circular path that is the front shoulder that is pulling with the bottom hand. Also once the knob starts to get around the body it starts to go back toward the catcher from the pulling of the front shoulder back to the catcher.
