Back elbow question

Hi Folks

A question for the video gurus out here:

What have you found regarding the position of the back elbow among elite hitters? Is it ahead of the bat knob at any point during the swing?

No opinions, please, just observations from people who have watched lots of MLB video. I am finding conflicting things and would like input from others as I refine my thoughts.
