Re: Straight Toss

Posted by: () on Sat Jan 4 18:46:50 2003

How many of you folks use the straight ahead toss as opposed to regular soft toss? Get behind the high side of the L screen at about 14 ft in front of home plate and toss underhand with some pop on the ball. I love this drill, because you can throw the ball up, down, in and out with accuracy and it gives you the chance to work with your player on all areas of the strike zone. The close distance helps to simulate more velocity on the pitch. MA

being I used it with my team. It gave them the same angle as a pitch being thrown.
