Re: point of contact

does anybody think where contact is made has an effect on how hard or far a ball will travel. it seems better hitters can make contact when the ball is deeper in the box. closer to the catcher.

Good hitters seem to be able to make adjustments and hit the ball in alot of areas but their hardest hits and the area they like the best is deeper in the zone. That word deeper is relative but I'd say most define it as off the inside of their lead knee. Allows for good rotation without reach and without disconnect.
