I think I even remember Jack Mankin writing that the thumb area of the top hand goes backwards .But I dont remember him mentioning the pinky going forward .in my opion I would say thats how the swing starts and as the rear elbow rotates and drops next to the rear rib area. the rear forearm and the top hand continue on there circular path to contact .I would be very intrested in Jack Mankins ideas on this myself
