For the same reason we see kids doing anything incorrectly, they weren't taught properly. But,in my mind that doesn't mean filling their heads with complexities that would boggle their minds. They have an ugly swing due to lack of bare bone fundamentals. You don't need to fill anyones head with scientific dialogue in order for them to succeed. I mean for crying out loud, it's difficult enough for an adult to have to keep all that "stuff" in their heads re. swing preparation, never mind a kid!

I would agree that it would be the rare kid you would mention any of this to.

The coach may need to do video analysis to figure out what is happening, however, and you need to have some realsitic model in your head to make sense of what you are seeing and how to go about improving it.

Likewise,if you do drills, there needs to be an overall swing model to keep the drill compatible with the overal swing.
