What appears typical to me for the strider is the center of gravity is started along a line toward the pitcher. It goes forward and down(?proportions of forward vs down),then comes to a halt at "launch".Dropping the head and center of gravity seems necessary for many of these hitters (and most golfers) to assist in getting the torso turning to drive the handpath("launch").In the strider, the weight has to be on the back foot when the front foot is in the air.The front foot comes down while the ball is in the air,and the weight is often off the back foot before contact(less so with hitters like Bonds who lean their axis of rotation well back). It is more useful for these hitters to think of "sitting to hit" or keeping the weight "behind their axis") or to think in terms of head position rather than how weight is sensed in the feet.
