I think that it is a matter of a conciousness thing. If you are not concious of your legs during you swing that is ok. The best way I know to break down my swing and adjust my mechanics is to take a tee and/or hit-a-way to myself and study my mechanics. By myself I can really take a look at my legs by themselves and other mechanics by themselves and try to put them into my muscle memory with a few hundred swings. After practicing my new mechanics by myself I go hit live. When ever I hit live, I can't really be concious of my mechanics. I just do what comes naturally to me so my mind can be on the ball and only the ball. But no matter what I do in a live situations, I find myself going back to the solo hitting to adjust my mechanics to make my swing how it should be.
