I guess you are comparing 'A' to Major. I supose that my classification was misleading. I was talking about 'Major' fastpitch. Most 'A' level pitchers throw about 65-75MPH. I played 9 years Canadian Men's National Team, 20 years at MAjor 'A' level and you can not tell me that there is no difference between hitting a 95MPH pitch and hitting a 109 MPH pitch. If that is the case then you should have been a major league star. I am sure that any coach in the majors would welcome a pitcher who could throw 100+ MPH or why do you think they work so hard to find that extra 1-2mph in a fastball.

The strike zone at whatever level of baseball or softball you play is "somewhere" between the letters and the knees. You pick where you want it to be and the same swing mechanics will be able to handle it whether its softball or baseball
