HI pikes>While I am no expert and cant talk for Jack .But I will give you my thoughts on your ideas .What you are talking about are ques and your ques are getting through to your son. You say they are helping him with circular hand path . And his elbows are at good angles.so he is connected at contac and his lead shoulder is rotatong back at contact which to me is right in line with bat speed,com principles on hitting.And I do remember bat speed.com has a video on you tube were the front elbow is working behind the battes body like you described. So I like your idea concerning the front elbow. when I see a new hitting idea or que I ask myself does this fit in with bat speed .com or does it violate any of Jacks ideas .and your ques and results seen to be right in line to me.
