Striaght arm

Hi Jack I'd like to talk about the lead shoulder and arm a bit. Most hitting coaches who get pretty hands y when teaching hitting say to explode with your back leg at the pitcher while keeping your hand inside the baseball. The problem I have with that is there is this emphasis on keeping the hands inside the baseball and than there is this big separation from your shoulder to the ball causing your arm to no longer be straight. All these great hitters are rotating and at the point of contact have a straight front arm. Some coaches think they are reaching out for extension but if that were the case there would be a push (seperation) instead of that straight front arm which forces you to use your hip, back, and shoulder to rotate to the ball. Do you agree?
