>>> hi jimmy!
i forgot to take that guy apart for this statement:
"At that point in time, the front leg will straighten, causing the bent back leg to rotate around at the same time"... HUH?!?!?

HE'S GOT THE WHOLE THING BASS-ACKWARDS!!!
if you think you are going to generate maximum torque by sticking your front foot down & causing your back leg to rotate.. YOU ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE & got some real problems!!!

in my world, the back leg is the power leg!!! you start out by pushing off your back POWER leg, landing your front foot in the closed position... THEN YOU START TORQUEING YOUR BACK LEG!!... let your back leg torque power to your front leg... YOU DON'T PULL FROM THE FRONT... YOU PUSH FROM THE BACK!!! hello?!?!?! oh brother..
what can you say to someone with that mindset?!?

stick with me, jimmy! <<<

Hi George

What you advocate is found in most average hitters. It is called a “back-side dominate” hitter. The best hitters exhibit a much more balanced approach. Their mechanics supply a more equal amount of both ‘lead-side pull’ and ‘back-side drive'. – Driving the back-side without the pull of the lead-side cannot apply as much torque to the bat as a push/pull action.
