> Nickfor what it's worth, ken griffey jr insists that he is a WEIGHT SHIFT hitter.....fact of the matter is, all hitters "rotate" and all hitters shift weight from the back side to the front side....i think any significant differences in the 2 "systems" are more in the arm action and less in the lower body ( i know this may be contrary to "conventional wisdom")....a weight shift hitter has more of a tendancy to excessively draw the hands and arms in to the body and "inside-out" the ball to the opposite field (in other words, fence drill mechanics)...the "rotational" hitter has more of a circular hand path rather than making the hands go "straight" or "short" to the ball...therefore he will pull more balls than the "weight shift " hitter....grc....
