I play slow pitch softball and the problem is this. Batting off of tees and in looking at the mechanics of a good swing always put the ball about hip high. In the past I had many problems with premature extension until I discovered that I was not maintaining the "L" in my top hand arm. My question is this: If you are being pitched to around the letters what should the proper swing look like? The lead arm could not properly be straight although it seems the "L" could be maintained. What are your thoughts?
